It seems to be a Friday tradition that I do my DFS lineup for the NHL slate, so let’s keep it going. Only four games in the NHL tonight, which isn’t all the bad as there are few players to choose from. I’ll be entering some higher-priced contests tonight because of the lack of contests in general. Here we go.
Sidney Crosby, PIT, $7,900
Sid has been on fire as of late, notching 17 points in his last 10 games (21 in 13), including scoring 5 goals. The Penguins’ captain has 21 points in 15 career games against the Ducks and will surely get on the scoresheet again tonight in Anaheim.
Adam Henrique, ANH, $3,600
I’ve got a few high-priced guys in this lineup for tonight, so I’ve got the throw in some value (I believe I’ve got some excellent value picks tonight too). Adam Henrique has 5 points in his last 10 games. I’m choosing Henrique tonight because he should match up well against the Pens’ third line. Henrique has averaged 2 shots per game in his last 10 and isn’t afraid to block shots. He’s logged an average of over 17 minutes of ice time in this stretch and will hopefully get on the scoresheet tonight against a Penguins team that has been rolling. They’ve got to lose a couple here and there. Right?
Micheal Ferland, CAR, $4,600
Ferland is a decent value pick in tonight’s game against the Buffalo Sabres. Ferland got off to a hot start at the beginning of the season with 11 points in his first 12 games. He is starting to look better, now playing with Victor Rask and Andrei Svechnikov. Ferland has 5 points in his last 10 games while averaging over 2 shots per game.
Tage Thompson, BUF, $2,600
Here is a deep value pick for you to toss into your lineups for tonight. Tage Thompson will be playing on the team’s first line along with Jack Eichel and Jeff Skinner. He’s got 2 points in his last 3 games and he’s looking good tonight heading in to Carolina for what I expect to be a high-scoring game. This guy MUST be in your lineups tonight to help you pay up for other guys.
Johnny Gaudreau, CGY, $8,000
Johnny Hockey has been on a tear in his last 10 games, averaging over 2 points-per-game during that time (11G – 10A). He is a must-play in your DFS lineups tonight. Pair him with Sean Monahan if you can afford it.
Lawrence Pilut, BUF, $2,800
Who? This 23-year-old Swede was called up from AHL Rochester after notching 22 points (19A) in 16 games along with a +19 rating. The young D man now has 5 points in 10 games with the Sabres and buried his first career NHL goal Tuesday night against the Devils. Pilut is expected to be playing in the first pairing with Rasmus Ristolainen tonight in Carolina.
Keith Yandle, FLA, $5,000
Yandle is the representative from the Florida Panthers heading to the All-Star Game in San Jose at the end of the month. With 35 points in 42 games this season, he’s earned the spot. Yandle logs big ice time for the Panthers and it will be more of the same tonight in Calgary.
Laurent Brossoit, WPG, $7,900
Brossoit is starting at home tonight facing the Detroit Red Wings. This should be a win for the Jets’ backup goaltender. Brossoit is 8-1-1 in his last 10 starts, sporting a 2.11GAA and a .939Sv%. He’s a little on the pricey side, but we’ve saved enough value to be able to afford him and some other superstars tonight.
Sean Monahan, CGY, $7,400
Along with Johnny Hockey, Monahan has also been strong putting up 15 points in his last 10 games, averaging 3 shots per game during that time. I said earlier that you should try to pair these two – so we’re doing it.
We’ve got a great lineup tonight that will hopefully get us cashing in NHL DFS. What lineups do you have tonight? Let’s put our lineups up against each other head to head and see who comes out on top!
