DFS Playbook: Friday, December 14

It’s been a few days since I’ve shared my lineup with you so let’s get back to it for GPPs tonight! As per the usual, I’ll share my entire lineup with you and why I’m choosing these guys. Let’s get to it.

Brian Little, WPG, $4,700

I’m actually going to be going with a few Jets tonight against a Blackhawks team that has been giving up quite a few goals. I like Little tonight as he has 8 points in his last 10 games, which includes 2 goals. Now Little doesn’t shoot very much (a little over 1 shot per game), so I’ll suggest pairing him with a line mate who likes to put the puck in the net. I’d say Little is good for an apple tonight in Chicago.

Nick Schmaltz, ARZ, $4,800

Schmaltz is playing in the middle on the Coyotes’ first line against a Rangers team that can give up some goals. He has 9 points (including 4 goals) in his last 10 games and played over 20.5 minutes in the team’s last game. Schmaltz is coming in at a great price for the ice time he will be getting.

Tanner Pearson, PIT, $3,300

Pearson is projected to be playing alongside Sidney Crosby and the Penguins’ first line tonight at home against the Bruins. He should also be getting time on the team’s second Powerplay unit, which increases his potential even more. At this price AND playing along Sid, Pearson is a solid value option tonight.

Patrick Laine, WPG, $7,400

Like I said, I’m going to be pairing a goal-scoring line mate with Brian Little. Who else would I want to pair? Laine. There’s not much more to say about Laine other than he’s a chalk play tonight against Chicago.

Kyle Connor, WPG, $6,500

Why the hell not? Stacking Jets has worked for me in the past and it will work again tonight. Connor and Laine are hot, with a combined 19 points in their last 10 games. I can expect this Jets second line to hook up at least once tonight.

Nate Schmidt, VGK, $4,100

Schmidt has a good floor for points as he likes to both shoot the puck and block shots, making him a good value option as he puts up DK fantasy points. He’s got 5 points in his last 10 games and has a decent price tonight on Draftkings.

Jacob Trouba, WPG, $4,600

Trouba is averaging 3.4 fantasy points per game in his last 10 games where he is +8 and has 6 points. Trouba has been on the ice for the Jets goals and averages 2 shots on net per game in his last 10. Look for a Trouba to hook up with our Jets stack tonight.

Jimmy Howard, DET, $7,800

Jimmy Howard and the Red Wings host the Ottawa Senators tonight who are still without Duchene. Howard has had a solid year between the pipes with a .923sv% and 2.67GAA. I’m expecting a win for the Red Wings tonight and 30 saves from the American net minder.

Brad Marchand, BOS, $6,800

This leaves us with $6,800 to spend and lets spend it on the player everyone loves to hate - Brad Marchand. The Bruins are visiting Pittsburgh tonight. A team that has struggled defensively all season long. Marchand had 2 goals and an assist in his last game against the Coyotes, giving him 11 points in his last 10 games. Marchand usually puts up points against the Pens so we can expect something here.

This is simply my opinion and you are not guaranteed to win if you are following this advice. Remember: DFS is gambling. Know your limit, play within it.
